"Progress Takes Two" is Preply's back-to-school campaign for Spain, created by GUT Madrid: four spots built on a simple observation, that nothing you learn with someone happens to you alone. The nerves before a presentation, the frustration of a word that will not come, the click when it finally lands: every one of them happens twice, once in the student and once, mirrored, in the tutor on the other side of the screen. Someone gets the job and two people run to celebrate, each in their own home.

We directed the four films with production company Antiestático and shot them in one day, on one stage, as a hybrid production. The rooms the stories needed, a glass office over Barcelona, a study with a corkboard full of post-its, a living room with an arched window and too many books, were never built.

Production designer Laura Codex designed every set as an AI environment, iterated like sketches until each one felt lived in. On the day, DOP Enzo Codaro lit the actors; the rooms arrived afterwards, wrapped around them through our AI pipeline. No carpenters, no paint, no strike at wrap.

Real people, real emotions, rooms that never existed. Four spots, one day, not a single nail.
