Jordan — AJ1 Burgundy Metallic

The first project we ever shipped under the Muscle Beach name. Sneeze Magazine commissioned three pieces around the Air Jordan 1 "Burgundy Metallic" — the 1985 colorway Japan helped shape, re-released with all of its mythology intact. Each film follows one voice — Kunle F. Martins, Lee Spielman, Eric Koston — telling their own memory of the shoe.

We turned those memories into images. No AI, no shortcuts — digital cel animation drawn frame by frame, the kind of attention you only give to something you actually love. Three short films, three memories, the same craft Sneeze puts into print.

It mattered to start here. Long before the work we're known for now, the studio began with a small brief that asked for craft. Everything that came after rests on it.
